Several days ago i was invited to share my superficial knowledge in YSEALI GEI Biomarine Student Camp Team which was held by collaboration of KOPHI YOGYA and KSK, initiate by alumnus of Young South-East Asian Leaders Initiatives Rida Nurafiati dan Bambang Sutrisno. It’s an honor for me and Rudi Nirwantono (my colleague and marine expert) to accompany participants on mini biodiversity sampling, discussion and presentation in Krakal beach. Participants consist of college and senior high school student. Moreover, the most interesting part was sociological project to understand local people’s problem on marine resource management in Baron beach. Finally the participants were challenged to solve the problems and find win-win solutions from ecological, economical and sociological perspectives. As usual, young people always full of spirit and i learn lot of surprisingly brilliant idea and new information from them. Thanks!
nb: this activity concept is brilliant, it must become regular program in Yogyakarta
